Harry Coumnas’ Views on the Habitability of Solar System's Natural Satellites

Harry Coumnas, a young scientist from South America was on his first visit to West Indies last week. The purpose of the visit was to attend a science conference which was held to discuss the habitability of Solar System's natural satellites. The attendees included many world renowned scientists, astronomers, as well as inventors from different parts of the globe. Mr. Coumnas who was attending this annual science conference for the first time made quite an impressive on everyone through his logical statements backed by evidence.

Harry Coumnas said that he believes there are many natural satellites in our Solar System which harbor life. “Enceladus”, the sixth largest moon of Saturn, according to him is the best bet for extraterrestrial life. An icy moon with the presence of various life supporting elements, such as water, organic molecules, etc.; Enceladus definitely seems to be habitable. Its surface, Harry shared, is made of 99% water ice & has liquid water beneath it. One of the major factors that indicate towards the possibility of life on this natural satellite is that it has a boiling core of molten rock that can result in a toasty temperature essential for life to thrive.

Harry Coumnas named various other natural satellites which he believes to have the potential for life. These include - Titan (largest moon of Saturn), Io (Jupiter's moon), and Europa (one of the moons of Jupiter). Harry said that he’ll continue researching on habitable planets and satellites, and also shared his plans of building residential communities and restaurants on them so that humans get the chance to experience living outside the earth. One of his major achievements in the field of science till date, he says, is creating a device for communicating with aliens.
